Whether from trauma, injury or overuse, imbalances in our muscles are known as trigger points. For many people, imbalanced muscles become a source of pain, disturb sleep patterns, result in limited range of motion and cause postural distortions and conditions, such as, fibromyalgia. In this course you learn how to identify trigger point in the bodies’ major muscle groups and how to treat and prevent them. We discuss the anatomy and the physiology of trigger points to give the student a clear, full understanding of the theory behind this powerful method of pain management.
